About Us

Bert Flexer is the President of Georgia Coast Design and Construction.  He is a licensed contractor in the state of Georgia, and has been building houses for over 30 years.  He has built many fine homes on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and in Brunswick, and is the Southern Living Builder for St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and the rest of the Georgia Coast.  His homes feature solid surface counter tops (including granite), custom cabinets exclusively designed for each house, beautiful unique woodwork, upscale light fixtures and plumbing trim, and elegant hardwood and tile flooring. He also specializes in Green Building techniques, and is knowledgeable regarding the latest in new home technology.

 Bert's wife Gail Flexer is a talented decorator as well as a licensed Realtor.  She knows the local real estate market inside and out, and can recommend a variety of the best building sites.  Our partners include some of the best local architects and draftsmen, mortgage lenders, and real estate attorneys.  Bert and Gail, along with our partners, form a powerful team and make Georgia Coast Design and Construction a true one stop shop.  We can literally handle your real estate and building needs from beginning to end.
